August 21, 2016, marks one year since we arrived in the U.S. on our honeymoon.  August 26th is the day Matt was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.  As if to come full-circle, it was almost a year to the date that our return to normalcy began.  Matt started a new job as a Structural Engineer in San Diego.  His company designed the new hospital at the medical center where we've been treated this past year. Althought he's enjoying his job and co-workers, working full-time again is challenging.  Between his work schedule and ongoing treatments, his days are long, but he's glad to be back "out there doin' it".
